The NGO Bureau is established by the NGO Act Cap 109 (amended) as a department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs responsible for registration, monitoring, inspection, coordination, and regulation of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) in Uganda.
The Bureau works with District NGO Monitoring Committees (DNMCs), Sub-County NGO Monitoring Committees (SNMCs) and other stakeholders to deliver on its mandate.
