Operations of 54 NGOs Halted

The Executive Director of the National Bureau for NGOs, Mr. Okello Stephen, announced the suspension of operations of 54 Non-Governmental Organizations for non-compliance with the provisions of the NGO Act, 2016. The affected organizations were found to be operating without valid permits, failing to submit annual returns, or not complying with their approved work plans. The Bureau called on all registered NGOs to ensure they are in full compliance with the regulatory framework.
