An organisation operating at a subcounty level and below whose objective is to promote and advance the wellbeing of the members of the community. CBOs are registered at district level through DNMCs.

Registration Process

Community Formation
Hold a formation meeting with community members at subcounty level.

Constitution Drafting
Draft a constitution using the Bureau's CBO template.

SNMC Recommendation
Obtain recommendation from the Sub-county NGO Monitoring Committee.
4
Application Submission
Submit Form K and all documents to the District NGO Monitoring Committee.
5
District Review
DNMC reviews application and forwards to the Bureau.
6
Registration
Bureau registers the CBO in the Updated National NGO Register (UNNR).

Registered copy of the CBO constitution
Recommendation from Sub-county NGO Monitoring Committee (SNMC)
Work plan and budget or strategic plan
Proof of fee payment via URA e-Services
