What it costs
Bureau fees are set by the NGO Fees Regulations 2017 and any subsequent amendments. This page explains how fees work, lists the services that carry a fee, and points you to the gazetted figures so the amount you pay always matches the current schedule.

Fees are gazetted and can be amended without changing this site. To avoid the risk of showing a superseded amount, the authoritative figure is always the one in the current Fees Regulations PDF. Open the document, find the row for the service, and use that figure when you pay through URA.
How the fee is paid
Every Bureau fee is paid through the Uganda Revenue Authority's e-Services portal, not at the Bureau directly. The portal generates a payment reference (PRN) that you must include on the application form; without it the application is treated as unpaid.
- Sign in to URA e-Services and select Other NTR as the tax head under Payment Registration.
- Pick the NGO Bureau as the receiving entity and the specific service that matches your application.
- Confirm the amount against the current NGO Fees Regulations 2017 schedule.
- Pay through any URA-supported channel and keep the receipt and the PRN.
- Enter the PRN on the application form and submit.
What carries a fee
