Registration Process

Incorporation
Register with URSB to obtain Certificate of Incorporation in Uganda.

Name Reservation
Reserve organisation name with the Bureau.

Document Preparation
Prepare all 14 required documents in a labeled spring file.

Recommendations
Obtain DNMC and government ministry/agency recommendations.

Fee Payment
Pay registration fee (UGX 520,000) and permit fee (UGX 400,000/year) via URA e-Services.

Application Submission
Submit hardcopy application to the Bureau.
7
Review & Approval
Bureau reviews, conducts verification, and presents to NGO Board for approval.
Required Documents
Completed Form A and Form D, signed by minimum 2 founders
Registration letter to Executive Director (objectives, area, permit duration max 5 years)
Certified URSB Certificate of Incorporation
Annual work plan and budget
Memorandum/Articles/Constitution with dissolution clause
Governance structure chart
Proof of fee payment via URA e-Services
Funding source statement
Valid IDs and passport photos for minimum 2 founders
Board minutes, signed attendance list, URSB-registered resolution
Staffing compliance statement per Section 45, NGO Act 2016
DNMC recommendation
Government ministry/agency recommendation
Data Protection Office certificate (within one month of permit issuance)
