Registration Process

Incorporation
Obtain Certificate of Incorporation from URSB or equivalent EAC country authority.

Name Reservation
Confirm organisation name availability in Uganda.

Document Preparation
Compile all required documents including proof of EAC country registration.

Recommendations
Obtain DNMC and Ministry/Department recommendations.

Fee Payment
Pay registration fee (UGX 100,000) and permit fee (UGX 60,000/year) via URA e-Services.

Application Submission
Submit Form A/N and Form D with all documents to the Bureau.

Review & Approval
Bureau verifies documents, conducts due diligence, and presents to NGO Board.

Form A (Uganda-incorporated) or Form N (EAC-incorporated) plus Form D, signed by minimum 2 founders
Registration letter specifying objectives, operational area, permit duration (max 5 years)
Certified Certificate of Incorporation from URSB or equivalent EAC country authority
Registered Memorandum/Articles/Constitution with dissolution clause
Governance structure chart
Annual work plan and budget
Funding source statement
Valid IDs and passport photos for minimum 2 founders
Board minutes, signed attendance list, and URSB-registered resolution
Staffing compliance statement per NGO Act 2016, Section 45
DNMC recommendation from headquarters district
Responsible Ministry/Department recommendation
Proof of fee payment via URA e-Services
Data Protection Office certificate (within one month of permit pickup)
