A CBO is an organisation operating at a subcounty level and below whose objective is to promote and advance the wellbeing of community members. CBOs are registered at district level through District NGO Monitoring Committees.
Timeline: 1-3 months
Process Steps

Hold a formation meeting with community members

Draft a constitution using the Bureau's CBO template
3
Obtain SNMC recommendation
4
Submit Form K and documents to District NGO Monitoring Committee
5
DNMC reviews and forwards to the Bureau
6
Bureau registers the CBO in the UNNR

Cover letter to DNMC chairperson requesting CBO registration
Completed Form K
Registered copy of the CBO constitution
Recommendation from Sub-county NGO Monitoring Committee (SNMC)
Work plan and budget or strategic plan
Proof of fee payment via URA e-Services
